Acknowledge God in ALL You Do

Just as in AA the first step is to acknowledge that there is a “higher power” and that we need to yield control to Him and not depend on our own abilities, so we must acknowledge that we cannot make it on our own in any area of our life, and that includes our business life. It says in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” This means that REGARDLESS of whether we understand where and how God is leading us, we must yield control to Him, acknowledge His sovereignty in the universe (which includes our own life), and then we must trust, diligently obey Him and follow His guidance and leading.

Royal Crown Diamond Monique McLean has written a book for us to follow faithfully for 21 days. It’s called “21 Days of Prayer for our Business”. Guess what the topic of the first day is? “Give God Control”. I highly recommend that you do this 21-day prayer journey if you want to dig deeper into this first step. Take it seriously and read one day at a time, doing the “homework” she gives. If you don’t like reading. you can listen to her videos. One a day, and never skip a day! You do not need to purchase the book in order to follow the videos, but have journal notebook so you can do the exercises she gives as she goes through the topic of the day. You can access the links to all the videos on her website: http://lovethemcleans.com/21daysofprayer.

Remember, every person’s journey is different. We don’t know what lessons we still need to learn when we “jump aboard” Young Living. They may be just a few if we’ve already gone through a lot of trials before that and ready to humbly yield full control to God, in which case our journey to the top will not be long, but we may have a lot of preparation that needs to take place in our life before we can reach Royal Crown Diamond. Learn to be ok with that! Embrace the journey.

Hurry is NOT in God’s nature. Just take time to look through Bible stories and you will see that is true. Abraham was promised a lot of descendants when he was 75; Isaac was not born until he was 100! He waited 25 years for the promised to be fulfilled.  They tried to help God out and we all know how that turned out. Not good at all. We need to wait for God’s timing.

Then there is David. He was anointed king when he was a shepherd boy, in his teens, but he had to go through a lot of hardships… a lot….. before he became king. It was about 20 years that he needed to wait, or maybe a bit more (https://bible.org/seriespage/4-waiting-lord-2-samuel-21-55)

Think about Joseph. Yikes! God showed him in a dream that he would be ruler and even his family would be bowing down to him, but the fulfillment of that promise did not take place until a ton of hardships took place in his life. Rejection and hatred by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, imprisoned…. but at the end, he became ruler of all of Egypt and could help out even his own family in ways he would have never been able to help out if he hadn’t gone through all that preparation. If we follow the timeline in Joseph’s life, he waited about 13 years. He had the dream when he was 17 and he wasn’t made ruler until he was 30. But, over and over again it states in Genesis "the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it prosper.”. So, no matter how long WE NEED TO WAIT, we must remember that God will make us prosper where we are as well if we trust and obey him and just embrace our journey. God is faithful to fulfill His promises. He always has and always will. As it says in Hebrews 13:8 - “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

The first thing we need to learn on our journey to Royal Crown Diamond is to acknowledge God in all that we do, asking Him for wisdom and discernment to make every single decision in our life, including business decisions. Like Salomon said, what we need is WISDOM for we cannot lead thousands of people on our own. We must learn to pray like Salomon - “Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” (I Chronicles 1:8).

Are you ready to learn to acknowledge God in all you do? If you answered “yes”, then perhaps the first thing you want to do is go through Monique’s 21 Days of Prayer Journey. But, regardless if you follow this journey and do the exercises she gives you in the videos (or as written out in her book), make sure press into God every single day, dig into His Word, ask Him to FILL YOU WITH WISDOM and discernment to make every decision in our life, including business decisions. This is the best way to be an excellent top leader.
