Young Living and Menopause

The most important thing to remember during peri- and menopause is that OUR BODY IS OUT OF BALANCE. Our hormones are out of whack and therefore it is more important than ever to make sure you focus on living a lifestyle that will keep us BALANCED physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

SIX TIPS:

1- Exercise daily for 30 minutes.

2- Cut way down on sugar and things made with wheat flour. Sweeten things with stevia and rarely eat any pastries, wheat bread, pasta or pizza since wheat flour (white AND whole wheat) raises our glucose level as much as sugar does.

3- Drink lots of water and herbal tea, or tea made with essential oils. **Make sure you don't use "just any" essential oil. Most out there are NOT good for our health. Ensure that the company from which you purchase them are mindful through every step of the process of creating these oils - from the moment the seed is placed into the ground all the way until the bottle of oil is sealed. This is the reason I chose to use ONLY the Young Living brand. Not only do they do this (CLICK HERE to learn about the process they use), but they also give me the opportunity to help educate others on this very important subject and they compensate us monetarily, knowing that everything in this world takes money. They don't want us to have to struggle financially while sharing with others about the importance of choosing their essential oils and essential oil products wisely.

4- Use essential oils, on a daily basis, that aid our body in balancing the hormones. Some that I highly recommend you look into using are Sclaressence, Progessence, Clary Sage and Dragon Time. Through trial and error, decide which of these oils works best for your body. Don't worry, you will not have to use these oils for the rest of your life. After a while, you will be able to cut back on them, once your body is much more balanced.

5- Make sure that the products you use daily (shampoo, conditioner, make-up, lotion) don't have any hormone disrupters in them. Too many products out there have ingredients in them that have been banned in Europe! Even products that contain essential oils may not be safe because we don't know how these essential oils were produced. If you want to take the time to research where the essential oils they use came from, how they were produced, go for it! But my guess is that you don't have the time to do this through research, just like I don't.   This is why, to simplify your life, use products that come from the same company that you trust to bring you the best quality essential oils. So.... you guessed it... I prefer to only use the Young Living brand. Check out their online catalog to see all the personal use and cleaning products they now offer us to enhance our healthy lifestyle! They even offer us a whole line of makeup, created by one of the top leaders in the company.

6- Lastly, keep stress to a minimum. Focus on the fact that God will always take care of you and provide for all you need. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us, and He is faithful to keep His promises. Sometimes He delays and we experience challenge after challenge, but these too serve a purpose - they build our character! See James 1:2-4, and the same message repeated by Paul in Romans in Romans 5:3-5.

Menopause and peri-menopause are just transitional times in a woman's life. Welcome this time and simply focus on living a healthy lifestyle that helps keep your body in balance. This will help ensure that you have less crazy symptoms. By not using pharmaceutical drugs to"help alleviate the symptoms", you will ensure that you don't have to deal with those bad side-effects as well. Just focus on a healthy lifestyle, using the six tips I mentioned in this blog; make them a habit.
