Exercise in Less Time and See Better Results

If your excuse to not exercise is that you have "no time", but you still would like to lose weight and get fit, then I have good news for you! Research has shown that shorter workouts is far better for shedding pounds and getting fit.

I would like to recommend that you do Focus T25, created by Shaun T. They are 25 minute workouts, 6 days a week. I did this fitness program and ended up loving it. I still love doing the Beta Speed 2.0 routine once or twice a week.

Another great fitness program that I recommend is TurboFire, created by Chalene Johnson. This program incorporates High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts of various length of time, ranging from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, in addition to longer aerobic workouts and upper and lower body work using bands. This program is my absolute favorite of all the ones I have done, but the Focus T25 is a close second.

I recommend the two above-mentioned programs because they are designed by professional trainers and offer us wonderful results, as long as we follow the schedule that they have set up for us and that is included in each program. It is also important that we challenge ourselves as best as we can, but modify as needed, listening to our body. However, if you are not wanting to invest in a fitness program just yet, what you can is apply the principal of interval training to what you already do. For example, if you like running, instead of running for 45 minutes to an hour, run fast for 2-3 minutes, then jog for a minute, run as fast as you can for another 2-4 minutes, then jog at a slower pace for a minute or two. Keep doing this until you have completed 20 to 30 minutes. Remember, 20 minutes of doing interval training is a wonderful amount of time! As Jordan Rubin says, "Intermittent training (also known as interval training) causes your body not burn high amounts of fat DURING exercise, but AFTER exercise, your metabolism stays elevated and will continue to burn fat for the next 24 to 48 hours" ("The Maker's Diet Revolution", p 201) For more on the benefits of interval traning, check out this article: http://exercise.lovetoknow.com/Examples_of_Interval_Training

So if you want to exercise in LESS TIME and see wonderful results, better than the results you may be getting from exercising for long hours at a steady pace, try interval training for a change. You can create a program of your own, or you can choose one created for us by professional trainers - either Focus T25 or Turbo Fire.
