Confident Leadership

An Exemplary Leader is Obedient

Next in line in the Scout Law we have that he is obedient. An exemplary leader must also be obedient, so let's talk a bit about what this means.

Being obedient does not mean we blindly follow orders from someone. We must only be obedient to those leaders who are TRUSTWORTHY. If we trust them fully, we can easily be obedient to them; it's not hard to do what they say we should do because we know that they have our best interest in mind.

Personally, I have developed very high standards as to who I will obey. I now always will take every decision to God in prayer because I don't want to be led astray by anyone. Every person here on earth has flaws, but God is completely trustworthy. Following HIS path will always lead me in the right direction and I will reach my final destination, which is to be an exemplary leader, worthy to be followed, in spite of the fact that I will never be flawless.

So, as we close, ask yourself the following two questions: Are you obedient to your trustworthy leader? And two, are you a leader that is trustworthy? Others should not be obedient to you if you are not trustworthy, remember that!

So many great points here! And yes I love that this can be a vehicle to create time freedom ultimately allowing us to spend even more time with our creator.

Thank you for your comment on this post, Mary! Yes, when we seek Jesus and His Kingdom first, everything else lines up and we get to live peacefully.

I love how you cut away the fluff and busyness that we allow to distract us from the one who created us. If we seek Jesus first everything else lines up & flows
