Qualities of an Amazing Woman and Wife

A peaceful life begins at home. If we are married, or are planning to get married.we need to make sure we possess the qualities of a noble woman and wife. In this blog post, I will lay out what I found in 2 different passage - One in the New Testament, and one in the old.

From I Peter 3:1-5

  • Pure
  • Reverent
  • **Submissive  and respectful to husband
  • Beauty doesn’t come from outward adornment like braided hair or gold jewelry
  • Inner beauty manifested in gentleness and a quiet spirit

** What does submissive mean? She yields to the authority of her husband, regardless of whether or not he is Christian and keeps his end of the commitment. She submits to him because God has made him head of the household (Eph 5:23). It’s easier to submit if they treat us with respect and honor, but we show an even more noble character if we are submissive even when they do not. If she chose to marry him, she knows she is to acknowledge his place of respect in the household.

From Prov 31: 10-31

  • Has a noble character (possessing high qualities)
  • Trustworthy
  • Brings husband good and never harm, always
  • Hard worker
  • Gets the best quality products
  • Gets up early and goes to bed late, making sure everything is in order
  • Buys property from her own earnings
  • Strong
  • Has her own profitable business
  • Compassionate to the poor and needy
  • Not afraid of poverty for her family has all that they need, and it’s the best quality
  • Clothed in the highest quality clothes
  • Husband is well-respected
  • Speaks wisely and instructs others faithfully
  • Has dignity
  • Watches over the affairs of her household
  • Is not lazy
  • Fears the Lord

So many great points here! And yes I love that this can be a vehicle to create time freedom ultimately allowing us to spend even more time with our creator.

Thank you for your comment on this post, Mary! Yes, when we seek Jesus and His Kingdom first, everything else lines up and we get to live peacefully.

I love how you cut away the fluff and busyness that we allow to distract us from the one who created us. If we seek Jesus first everything else lines up & flows
