Many of us allow FEAR to lead us away from the confidence that God himself has anointed us for a very special mission in this world that is filled with sickness, poverty, and slavery
(to debt and fear). Let’s look at what the Bible has to say about anointing with oil.
1. Psalm 23:5 says “You honor me by anointing my head with oil”. In many versions, the word “honor”
is taken out so we don’t realize what at honor it was at the time this psalm was written to be anointed with oil. Who was anointed with oil? Only those that were set apart for God’s special purposes. For example, David was anointed as the next
king of Israel even while he was only a shepherd boy. The promise didn’t fulfill until many years later, and meanwhile David went through horrible trials and was almost killed by the king at the time - King Saul - who was the father of his best friend,
and the one to whom he played his harp to console in his depressive times. I’m sure David wondered if God’s promise would ever be fulfilled! However, remembering that God had anointed his head with oil, honoring him, kept him going. He knew his
future was in God’s hands.
2. Why are we anointed? Well, Jesus clearly stated the reason when he read in the synagogue “The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim
good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” He was not concerned with the fact that the people to whom
he read this did not believe him! He just went up and stated the fact. He wasn’t there to convince them that this was true. In fact, not even his family, friends and acquaintances believed him! People would say things like “isn't this the
carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren't his sisters here with us?" And they took offense at him.” (Mark 6:3)
John 14:12 reminds us that we are to GREATER THINGS
than Jesus ever did. Doesn’t that just blow your mind??? Jesus came to this world as an example to us, but when He knew that his days on earth were almost over, He told his disciples that they were to do even greater things than He did when the Holy
Spirit came. Who should we believe? Others in this world or God?
Let’s follow the example of Jesus, our Lord and Master. We answer only to God. Let’s
not worry about what others say or think. We need to remember that God has placed a calling on our lives when He had someone share with us about Young Living and we obediently followed His lead. From the day He anointed us with these essential oils, We need
to daily remember that He has been transforming our lives, refining us like gold, so that we can confidently bring hope to the poor - there is a way for them to get out of poverty and they do not have to rely on a loan from a financial institution for that
to happen! We are to help the blind see - help those who have been blind to what the network marketing profession can do for us. It’s not our job to convince them - but it IS our job to share with them the opportunity that will set them free of their
years that they’ve been prisoners to debt. God doesn’t want any of us to be prisoners to debt. He wants to restore us and restore our families, which are being torn apart mainly because parents work so much and kids are left on their own to learn
the lessons and values.
From the day God chose to have someone share Young Living with you and you obediently took on the task to share the great opportunity
with others, constantly allowing God to transform your life on the journey, He has been with you. “Be confident in this - He who started the good work in you will be faithful to complete it.”
(Phil 1:6). Constantly stay connected to God and allow Him to work in you and through you in mighty ways, remembering that He can do abundantly more than we can imagine (Eph 3:20). Remember that He is the vine and we are the branches; apart from Him we can
do nothing. But connected to Him… wow! His power will be shown in ways we can’t possibly imagine. He will make you confident. Just be strong and courageous remembering that the Lord is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:8)
